Sonic Youth have finished their new album in time for a summer release.

‘Nurse’ is the follow-up to 2002’s ‘Murray Street’ and is due for release on June 7.

Meanwhile, the alt.rock veterans are appearing at this year’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival on April 3, and will be co-curating the event.

Additionally, they will appear at the South by Southwest convention in Austin, Texas later this month.
