Sonic Youth, Slint to play classic albums in full
The first of 2007's 'Don't Look Back' gigs announced
Sonic Youth, The House Of Love and Slint are the first names to be confirmed for this year’s series of ‘Don’t Look Back’ gigs in London, where artists revisit classic album in their entirety.
Slint will perform their 1991 indie classic ‘Spiderland’ at KOKO on August 22, while Sonic Youth will run through 1988’s ‘Daydream Nation’ at the Roundhouse on August 31.
The House Of Love will play all of their 1988 self-titled debut at KOKO on September 13.
The list so far is:
Slint/’Spiderland’ (August 22, KOKO)
Sonic Youth/’Daydream Nation’ (August 31, Roundhouse)
The House Of The Love/ ’The House Of Love’ (September 13, KOKO)
Other names will be announced in the coming weeks.
Previous years have seen the likes of Belle & Sebastian, The Stooges, Dinosaur Jr and Teenage Fanclub running through seminal albums.
