Americans will play 'Daydream Nation' in full

Sonic Youth have confirmed they will play Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival on June 2.

The band have also promised to play their 70-minute 1988 double album 'Daydream Nation' in its entirety.

The New Yorkers will play on the last day of the festival that begins on May 31 at Park del Forum in Barcelona.

Other acts due to play at the Spanish bash include Smashing Pumpkins, Wilco and Patti Smith.

This news about the Sonic Youth comes shortly after they confirmed that they have added a second date at the Roundhouse in London as part of All Tomorrows Parties’ Don’t Look Back series on September 1.

They will also perform 'Daydream Nation' in full at this gig.
