Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon launches clothing line
It's aimed at 'cool moms' and inspired by Françoise Hardy
Sonic Youth bassist Kim Gordon has launched a clothing line because she says "there's a need for clothes for cool moms".
The label is called Mirror/Dash - the same name as Gordon's musical side project with husband and fellow Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore.
Currently, one item of clothing is available to buy from mirrordash.com - a wool coat inspired by French chanteuse Françoise Hardy.
Costing $415, Gordon says that only 50 of the jackets will be sold.
"Some people make limited-edition records - we're making a limited-edition jacket," she told New York Times.
