Sonic Youth give away new album track and play secret London gig
Fans can download 'Sacred Trickster' now
Sonic Youth have previewed new album 'The Eternal' by giving away new track 'Sacred Trickster' on their record label Matadorrecords.com.
Fans can download the track, which features Kim Gordon on vocals, from the site's blog section.
'The Eternal' is officially released on June 9, although fans who order the album via Buyearlygetnow.com can listen to a stream of it from April 28.
Fans who purchase the album through the Buy Early Get Now service also get a free Sonic Youth live album on vinyl, recorded in New York on July 4, 2008 and additional MP3s from the band featuring outtakes and alternate live material.
The band have also announced details of a gig in London next Monday (April 27) at The Scala. Tickets for the gig, go onsale tomorrow |(April 21) at 10am (GMT).
