Sonic Youth forced to postpone southwest US tour dates

Sonic Youth have had to reschedule some of the dates on their upcoming autumn tour, because guitarist Lee Ranaldo has fractured his wrist playing tennis.

Announced on their official website SonicYouth.com, the band have cancelled their show in Santa Barbara (September 26) and appearance at the Austin City Limits festival (October 4), while rearranging the other dates.

Tickets for the original shows will be honoured and the rescheduled tour is as follows:

Berlin, Germany - Columbia Halle (October 21)
Brussels, Belgium - Ancienne Belgium (22)
London, England - The Forum (23)
Paris, France -­ Palais des Congrés (25)
Sao Paulo, Brazil - Planeta Terra Festival (November 7)
New York, NY - Terminal 5 (21)
Boston, MA - Wilbur Theatre (22 & 23)
Minehead, England - ATP Nightmare Before Christmas (December 5)
Dublin, Ireland - Vicar Street (6)
Tucson, AZ - Rialto Theatre (January 4)
Phoenix, AZ - Marquee Theatre (5)
San Diego, CA - House Of Blues (7)
Pomona, CA - Fox Theatre (8)
Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern (9)
