Sonic Youth have expanded their upcoming US tour.
Starting later this month in New York, the band will play dates on the east coast, before hitting the road in January for the west coast section of their tour.
As previously reported the band had to postpone a number of dates after guitarist Lee Ranaldo broke his wrist playing tennis.
Sonic Youth will play the following dates:

Brooklyn, NY Music Hall of Williamsburg (24, 25)
Tucson, AZ Rialto Theatre (January 4 2010)
Phoenix, AZ Marquee Theatre (5)
San Diego, CA House of Blues (7)
Pomona, CA Fox Theatre (8)
Los Angeles, CA The Wiltern (9)
San Francisco, CA The Fillmore (10)
