SONIQUE SINGLES BOOM

SONIQUE's 'IT FEELS SO GOOD' looks likely to stay at the top of the UK singles chart this coming Sunday (June 11), making her the first artist this year to remain there for three consecutive weeks.

The single, which has already been a massive hit in the US, has pushed Travis' comeback track, 'Coming Around', into the third spot, one behind S Club 7, who remain buoyant at number two.

The midweek chart also shows new top ten entries for Whitney Houston and George Michael, B15 Project, Richard Blackwood, Angelic and Gabrielle.

Fat Les make a disappointing showing in the mid-teens with their terrace chant reworking of 'Jerusalem', while Ian Brown is some ten places behind.

Belle & Sebastian are on course to repeat the single success of last week. Their fourth album, 'Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant', is set to go straight into the top ten.
