Sonique to undergo further breast cancer operation

Musician will have to undergo a second operation

DJ and singer Sonique has been told that her breast cancer has spread and that she requires another operation.

The musician, real name Sonia Clarke, was operated on by a private Harley Street doctor recently, but since then test results have meant that she will have to have a another lumpectomy procedure.

"As you would imagine she was very distressed," Clarke's agent Cath MacKenzie told BBC News. "The surgeon doesn't feel he got all the cancer out. She is bearing up very well, but yesterday was a difficult day when she heard the news."

Clarke's latest single, 'World of Change' was due to be released next month, but has now been postponed to a later date.

Sonique is best known for her UK Number One single 'It Feels So Good'.
