Arctic Monkeys have been nominated for a Ivor Novello award.
The band's 2006 Number One single ’When The Sun Goes Down’ has been nominated in the Best Song Musically & Lyrically category.
The prestigious songwriting awards also see Amy Winehouse being nominated for ’Rehab’ and Hot Chip for ’Over And Over’, both in the Best Contemporary Song category.
Madonna’s ’Sorry’ and Scissor Sisters ’I Don’t Feel Like Dancin'’ are both nominated in two categories - International Hit Of The Year and Most Performed Work.
The awards ceremony will take place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on May 24.
