The Specials announce Coventry homecoming gig

Band add arena on their doorstep to reunion tour

The Specials will finish their reunion tour next May with a special gig in their hometown of Coventry.

The band have now been confirmed to play the city's Ricoh Arena on May 15.

As NME.COM previously reported, The Specials are reuniting to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Including the new Coventry date, they will play gigs across the UK next April and May.

Tickets for the Coventry gig go on sale tomorrow (December 17) at 9am (GMT).

I dont think its a good idea reforming sometimes....you remember these great bands who we grew up hearing and its just sad to see a bunch of old blokes jumping around on a stage......

Seems ticket sales, and extremely fast to sell out ticket sales, speak louder then words. I respect the jaded few who are upset that Jerry is not involved because he was a vital contributor, however you fail to acknowledge just how much the others contributed. What was accomplished before or after the lineup of what we consider the original 7 members? There is always another side, or 6 sides, to the story. Let the guys do what they love to do and do well, make music!
