‘Spider-Man’ creator Stan Lee endorses new cast

The comic book legend has filmed a cameo in forthcoming reboot

Spider-Man creator Stan Lee has endorsed the latest actors to play his characters.

Marvel is rebooting its superhero franchise in forthcoming movie The Amazing Spider-Man, with Andrew Garfield in the lead role.

Lee recently visited the set to shoot a cameo in the film, as he traditionally does in his film adaptations. Following his visit, the 88-year old tweeted via Twitter.com/TheRealStanLee: “Rejoice, my brace Brigadiers, the Generalissimo hath returned unscathed from his perilous duty on the set of the new Spider-Man reboot!”

“The event was terrific! I met our new Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield. You’ll be amazed how perfectly this talented guy fits the role! And when you see the lovely Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, you’ll realise why Peter has such a king-size crush on her!”

Lee then revealed his cameo will see him play opposite Rhys Ifans “The talented Rhys Ifans is Spidey‘s deadly foe! I just hope I don’t steal the scene too much!”
