Spinal Tap announce North American tour

Spinal Tap have announced a tour of North America, kicking off in Vancouver on April 17.

The band will perform as themselves as opposed to the characters they played in the 1984 satire, and will play songs from the legendary spoof as well as the 2003 film ‘A Mighty Wind’.

They are re-recording material from the ‘mockumentary’ as well as new songs which they will preview on the outing.

The band will not wear the Spinal Tap costumes on this tour, but have plans for shows later in the year in which they will dress as their characters, reports Rolling Stone.
