Spinal Tap announce one night 'world tour'

Band to play Wembley Arena on shortest-ever global trek

Spinal Tap announce one night 'world tour'

Spinal Tap will play a "One Night Only World Tour" at Wembley Arena on June 30.

The one-off London show will mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic film about the rock band, 'This Is Spinal Tap'.

Support will come from The Folksmen, who like Spinal Tap found recent fame themselves after featuring in the 'documentary' 'A Mighty Wind'.

Speaking about the limited nature of their "world tour", guitarist Nigel Tufnel declared: "If we're going to do a world tour on only one night, at least it's this world."

Bassist Derek Smalls added: "One night is not enough, and it's way too much!"

Tickets go on sale on Thursday (April 9). To check the availability of Spinal Tap tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/GIGS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
