CANCER SHOCK FOR SPIRITUALIZED
Serious illness strikes the band...
SPIRITUALIZED were forced to cancel a festival show in Norway at the eleventh hour last night (August 8) because a member was diagnosed with "blood cancer".
The band were set to play the Oya-Festival in Oslo when their percussionist was diagnosed as ill. The details of his illness are unclear at present, though a UK spokesperson for the band confirmed it is serious. Spiritualized have not issued any statement yet.
It is also unclear whether or not the band will be able to make their shows at the Reading and Leeds Carling Weekend (August 23-25). They are due to headline the Radio 1 Evening Session stage.
