Spotify unveils iPhone application - video
Music streaming service could be available within weeks
Spotify has submitted an application to Apple's iTunes App Store to launch its first mobile service.
If approved, the Spotify app will be available for users to download on their iPhones.
The iPhone app could be available within weeks, reports BBC News. It will allow users to store 'offline' playlists in order to play music while there is no internet connection, and also give users the opportunity to stream playlists.
The app is set to be free to download, though users will be required to sign up to a premium Spotify account to use it.
Spotify's premium service currently costs £9.99 per month. It allows Spotify users to listen to the application on their computers without adverts.
