Annie Clark, otherwise known as St Vincent, has been voted '2012's Sexiest Woman in Indie Rock' in a new poll.

The list, complied by Nerve, saw Cat Power take second position and Santigold third, ahead of the likes of Sleigh Bells' Alexis Krauss, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast and the Haim sisters.

St Vincent recently announced details of her and David Byrne's joint album 'Love This Giant', which is set for release on September 11. Recorded over two years, the pair wrote ten of the album's 12 tracks together, with each artist submitting a track of their own.

The pair have also announced a North American tour, of which Byrne said: "We'll be doing these songs and a bunch of songs that we suspect people will know, with a group that includes eight brass players, a keyboardist and a drummer."

Nerve's Top 10 Sexiest Women In Indie Rock 2012 list is:

10. Malin Dahlström (Niki & The Dove)
9. Megan James (Purity Ring)
8. Haim
7. Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes)
6. Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast)
5. Caroline Polachek (Chairlift)
4. Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells)
3. Santi White (Santigold)
2. Chan Marshall (Cat Power)
1. Annie Clark (St Vincent)
