DAN STEEL SHOW AT GRAMMY AWARDS
But the ageing rockers were heckled as they collected their awards...
STEELY DAN scooped four awards at the GRAMMY AWARDS at LOS ANGELES STAPLES CENTER yesterday (February 21).
They got the gongs for their first album in 20 years, 'Two Against Nature', and single 'Cousin Dupree'. But their victory in the Best Pop Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album categories was heckled, with some in the audience sniggering, tutting and someone commenting, "What a dickhead!" when Donald Fagen collected his awards, saying: "We've been around a long time, it's nice to get one of these."
Fagen and Walter Becker were also awarded Album Of The Year, triggering some surprise among commentators that Paul Simon, who was tipped to take the award, did not win.
