FAYE TAKES FIRST SOLO STEPS

The star performs at a prelude to this year's Fa Cup Final...

Ex-Steps star FAYE TOZER is to sing at a prelude to this year's FA CUP FINAL, it has emerged.

Tickets go on sale on Monday (February 18) for Faye's first UK appearance since the Christmas split of Steps.

She will join tenor Russell Watson, pop/classical outfit Bond, and soprano Lesley Garrett for the FA Cup Classic Concert in front of 15,000 people at Cardiff Arms Park on May 3.

The football clash - the biggest event in the British soccer calendar - is traditionally held at Wembley Stadium. But it was moved to Cardiff last year, to make way for the demolition of Wembley's famous twin towers. Such was the success of the event that the English FA decided to host the match at the Millennium Stadium again this year.

Faye has already sung once this year with Russell Watson - as exclusively revealed on NME.COM she travelled to New Zealand for an open-air gig last week.

Ticket's for Faye's gig are priced £15, £20 and £25 and are subject to booking fee. Children's tickets are also available for £5 less.

The show will be televised live on the day. For tickets, call 0870 906 3757, log onto www.firstcalltickets.com, or visit the Arms Park box office in person.
