SWAMP THINGS!

The salubrious Hackney Marshes prepares to welcome a stellar bill...

STEREO MC's, ISAAC HAYES, and GEORGE CLINTON are confirmed to play the ESSENTIAL FESTIVAL 2001.

The festival, which has had to move to Hackney Marshes after their traditional Brighton site became unavailable because of the foot and mouth crisis, takes place over the weekend July 15-16.

As before, the festival will take place over eight stages, with the Saturday as Dance Day and Sunday as Roots Day.

Tickets are on sale from Saturday (April 28) and are priced £35 for each day.
