GUITAR HEROES!

STEREOPHONICS, Doves, Manic Street Preachers and Doves are amongst a host of bands who have teamed up to raise money for the homeless.

The Big Issue magazine contacted a number of bands who performed at last month's V2002 festival and asked them to sign guitars, which in turn will be auctioned off. The funds will be used to help homeless people overcome the problems that led to them being on the street.

Stereophonics, Counting Crows, My Vitriol, Manic Street Preachers, Som Wardner of Sugababes, James Dean Bradfield of Nickelback and The Bluetones have signed acoustic guitars, while Groove Armada, [/a], Elbow, Primal Scream have signed electric guitars.

Other items include headphones signed by [a] and a snare drum signed by Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable.

The instruments will be auctioned through the national network of Big Issue magazines and eBay.
