Former Stereophonics star announces comeback

The Cable guy's got a new band...

Former STEREOPHONICS drummer STUART CABLE has announced his comeback with a new band.

Cable was sacked by singer and co-founder Kelly Jones over “commitment issues” in September 2003.

The new band, as yet unnamed, features Cable and two musicians from Swansea, formerly of a band named Powder. They are still looking for a singer.

The star, talking to BBC 6 Music, said: “At the moment we are just writing songs. It's a lot heavier than the Stereophonics because that's where I'm from really.”

"Hopefully this time next year we'll be up and running because I just want to get back on stage and play," added Cable.
