Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones has unleashed his own solo project.

Recorded in 36 hours with Jim Lowe, the frontman has laid down ten songs for his own LP, 'Only The Names Have Been Changed'.

Of the recordings, Jones said: "It began as something very off the cuff then within a couple of days, in the early hours, an album consisting of ten songs was finished. We wanted to do something in the vain of Nick Cave’s ‘Murder Ballads’ or Johnny Cash’s ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’. Every song is a girl's name.

“It’s not about going solo. That’s the last thing I ever want to do. It’s more about making something spontaneous, and making it spontaneously. Every song is a live take."

The album is available digitally from today, (January 29), while a physical release, backed with a live bonus DVD, is due out on March 26.
