Stereophonics roll out their singles at V Festival

Stereophonics performed a set comprised almost entirely of singles, including one new track, on the Main Stage at V Festival today (August 16).

The band, led by frontman Kelly Jones, kicked off their set with 'The Bartender And The Thief', from 1999's 'Performance And Cocktails' album, after the singer got the crowd worked up with a short set of call-and-response cheering.

The set, which took place as the sun went down over the Chelmsford site, emphasised the band's early career, with only one song performed from their last album, last year's 'It Means Nothing'.

A new track, likely to feature on the band's forthcoming greatest hits album, 'You're My Star', was also previewed.

Kelly Jones and co ended their set with their sole UK Number One hit 'Dakota', to a frenzied crowd reaction.
