A LAWLER UNTO HIMSELF

Steve Lawler, the HOME resident and DJ, has announced details of his own monthly night, 'HOUSE NATION', at CODE in BIRMINGHAM.

The launch party for the night, named 'House Nation', takes place on December 14. Progressive hero Sasha will headline, and 'House Nation' will be held on the last Thursday of every month.

"The night's about consolidating my sound," Lawler told NME.COM. "I've got direct control over the music policy. It gives me and like-minded DJs and mates the opportunity to get together on Thursday night in my own town!"

Lawler has also been busy on the remix front, having just completed work on Cevin Fisher's 'Love You Some More', BT's 'Never Gonna Come Back Down' and Soul Provider's 'Rise' on Azuli. "'Rise' is very much a disco style house tune," he said of the remix. "I've taken the original and crafted it into a deep, moody, houser. It's in the same vein as a Murk style classic".

Steve Lawler's new single, 'Rise In', is released on October 30, and NME.COM is hosting the video promo, featuring Reef vocalist Gary Stringer. To see the video, click on one of the following:
