US rap star arrested on gun rap
Sticky Fingaz apprehended in Manhattan
US rapper and actor Sticky Fingaz has been arrested after allegedly leaving an unlicensed gun in a hotel room.
Police said a handgun was found in the hotel Flatotel in Manhattan, New York City, in a room in which the rapper had been staying. He was arrested on Wednesday (October 19).
The star, whose real name is Kirk Jones, was not licensed to carry a weapon. He was subsequently arrested.
Jones, 35, was a member of rap group Onyx and appeared in 2004 movie 'Flight Of The Phoenix' . He currently stars in hit US TV series 'Over There'.
The drama series, about US soldiers in Iraq, features Jones as a character named Smoke who joins the army to avoid a prison sentence.
