STING FORCES DISNEY TO CHECK ITS '...GROOVE'

Environmental rocker STING has forced WALT DISNEY to change the ending of an animated film for which he wrote the music because it is "exactly the opposite of what I stand for".

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Sting was horrified to discover that the ending to the animated comedy 'The Emperor's New Groove' featured the emperor in question demolishing a rainforest to build a theme park.

Sting said: "I wrote them a letter and said, 'You do this, I'm resigning because this is exactly the opposite of what I stand for. I've spent 20 years trying to defend the rights of indigenous people and you're just marching over them to build a theme park. I will not be party to this."

Five Sting penned songs will definitely appear on the final soundtrack album. One, 'Perfect World' is sung by Tom Jones.
