The singer was ordered last Thursday (August 14) to continue with his counselling and rehabilitation sessions, as well as submit to random drug testing.
Weiland, now recording with the ex-Guns N' Roses side project Velvet Revolver, was arrested after a routine traffic stop on May 17 in Califomia. Police allegedly spotted drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle. He was later charged with cocaine and heroin possession.
Velvet Revolver, featuring ex [a][/a] members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum were planning on releasing a CD/DVD EP in the near future, but scrapped the project in favour of working on their debut album.
According to Billboard, Velvet Revolver recently recorded a new song 'Slither' with Kiss and Pink Floyd producer Bob Ezrin, and are currently in talks with labels Elektra and RCA.
