STREETS HIT THE TOWN

Mike Skinner ends up at the point of collapse after a night of pills, booze and blowjobs...

STREETS HIT THE TOWN

Streets premiere their new video this Saturday (September 4) – and NME.COM can bring you an exclusive preview.

The clip for ‘Blinded BY The Lights’ gets its first showing on Channel 4 at 12.30am, before a scheduled Oasis
documentary.

Directed by Adam Smith, the film depicts Mike Skinner beaten up and left battered and bruised after a fight at a wedding, after his girlfriend gets off with his best friend. The clip also depicts Skinner drinking and taking drugs.

Smith told NME.COM: “It was hard work. Mike said he really didn’t want to set it in a club, as he felt it had all been done. He wanted to do this whole suspense thing as well so I decided on a wedding. I tried to interweave the film with the narrative so it still made sense with the story of the album as well.”

The single, the third from number one album ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ is released on September 27 through Locked On/679. Check this week’s NME, out now, for more exclusive shots.
