SUEDE SKIP THE EAST

Suede return to the UK this week after cancelling most of the Far Eastern shows on their current tour after Neil Codling collapsed in Australia last week.

The shows affected are Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).

Suede will finnish up their planned dates in Melborne tomorrow before flying back to the UK. A planned show in Jakarta was cancelled following the civil unrest in Indonersia.

"The shows will be rescheduled," said a spokesman for Suede. "I know they will be disappoinnted about having to cancel Vietnam. They were very keen on that and went to a lot of trouble sorting out visas and red tape to play there."

Neil Codling was exhausted after the long haul tour and was advised to have complete rest. The cancellation should not affect forthcoming UK shows.
