Brett Anderson readies solo album
Former Suede singer lifts the lid on new project
Brett Anderson has completed work on his debut solo album.
Vocalist in dormant band The Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, Anderson revealed on his official forum at Brettanderson.co.uk that the mixing and mastering of his own album has been completed.
Anderson explained: “I’ve lived with the songs for so long and I still love them…I suppose that means something.”
The artwork is currently being created by Anderson, Wolfgang Tillmans and sleeve designer Peter Saville, who rose to fame designing artwork for Joy Division and New Order.
Saville and Anderson have previously collaborated on the artwork to Suede’s 1996 album ‘Coming Up’.
Anderson’s album will be released in early 2007 and, as previously reported on NME.COM, is likely to be titled ‘Brett Anderson’.
