Suede have confirmed that their accountant has come under scrutiny after alleged financial irregularities came to light.

Reports this week suggest that their accountant Frank Dixon is "under suspicion" after money allegedly went missing from the band's bank account. He is also accountant to Primal Scream and Beth Orton.

Dixon is believed to have handed financial books over to courts shortly before the deadline closed for submitting the band's accounts.

A spokesperson for Suede said that they had nothing to add at the moment.
