Suede have added two outdoor dates to their summer schedule.

The gigs, which will take place in June, are part of the Forestry Commission's annual Forest Live concert series. Events are set to take place around the country, raising money to improve the woodland for both people and wildlife.

The shows will be the first for the Britpop band after headlining the Royal Albert Hall in March as part of Roger Daltrey’s Teenage Cancer Trust series. The Cure will also headline a gig during the run, which takes place between March 24-30.

Last week, Suede frontman Brett Anderson revealed to NME the band are already working on a follow-up to last year’s 'Bloodsports' LP.

"We're busy writing at the moment," he said. "I'm very proud of 'Bloodsports', and the best thing about it is that it showed us that we can write new music, and relevant new music."

He continued: "We want to carry on writing and pushing forward, so we're taking it somewhere else now. I think it'll be out next year, as we’re just writing at the moment so realistically it will be next year."

Suede will play:

Thetford Forest (June 13)
Westonbirt Arboretum (June 21)
