Sufjan Stevens curating Brooklyn Academy of Music 'Takeover'
St. Vincent and Budos band to perform
Sufjan Stevens has been announced as the curator of this year's 'Takeover' at Brooklyn Academy of Music, and has enlisted acts such as St. Vincent and The Budos Band for the event.
'Takeover' will take place on September 27 and also features Naomi Shelton And The Gospel Queens and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus sings Nico Muhly and other works.
The event will also feature films curated by the critically-acclaimed BAMcin�matek, including Lars Von Trier's supernatural thriller 'The Kingdom', a mixtape of 1985 cinematic 'gems', and a celebration of beer in film, as well as DJ sets from Philadelphia's King Britt and Vikter Duplaix.
Tickets for the event are $20 in advance at takeoverbam.org or via phone on 718.636.4100. Tickets on the night are $25 cash at the door.
