Sufjan Stevens debuts unreleased track 'Give A Little Love' - listen

Sufjan Stevens has posted a previously unheard song titled 'Give A Little Love' online.

The singer-songwriter made the song available on his Tumblr account Sufjan.com yesterday (March 1), according to Pitchfork. He also said that he had recently re-discovered the track on an "old hard drive" and suggested that it may have been an abandoned recording for his 2010 EP 'All Delighted People'.

Last year, the singer released a seasonal boxset titled 'Silver & Gold: Songs For Christmas, Vols 6-10'. The collection compiles the singer's five Christmas EPs, recorded between 2006 and 2010, and features appearances from the likes of The National's Aaron and Bryce Dessner and Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry.

Originally intended as gifts for his family and friends, the collection of songs were remixed and reassembled for fans in a specially-designed gift box including Christmas stickers, temporary tattoos, lyric sheets and chord charts, a paper ornament, an apocalyptic pull-out poster, photos, illustrations and extensive liner-notes.

Sufjan Stevens released his most recent studio album 'The Age Of Adz' in 2010. He subsequently revealed that work on the LP had been delayed due to him suffering "mysterious and debilitating" illness during the recording process, and that he had suffered a breakdown while watching Wes Anderson's 2009 film Fantastic Mr Fox.
