Sugababes singer's boyfriend in machete attack

Amelle Berrabah in 'horrific' assault

Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah’s boyfriend was attacked on Christmas Eve (December 24).

Her boyfriend Freddie Fuller was brutally attacked with a machete.

Berrabah said: "It was horrific - like a nightmare but worse because it was real. How one person can do that to another I don't know. I couldn't stop myself screaming."

She went on to say: "I haven't slept since it happened - I've been so worried. I think I'm still in shock. I just hope the police catch whoever did it, but they say he has completely disappeared."

On the evening of the attack, Berrabah was out with her sisters and Fuller in Aldershot, Hampshire.

He was rushed to Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, where surgeons operated for six hours.

She told the Daily Mirror: "The doctors say he's going to need constant care for at least eight weeks, so I've decided to book him into a private hospital."

The paper reports police are searching for a 28 year-old man in connection with the attack.
