Supergrass to play Anti-Slavery gig

Supergrass are among a number of acts to confirm that they will play at The Forum in Kentish Town on March 25 in support of an anti-slavery charity.

The bash, entitled ‘The Voice of Slavery’, is in aid of groups including Stop The Traffic and will be compared by Rhys Ifans, Samantha Morton and Sadie Frost.

Other artists confirmed include Ed Harcourt, Finley Quaye, Emmanuel Jal and Vitamins.

Organisers also hope to add a number of special guests to the bill.

The day of the gig (March 25) marks the bicentenary of British parliament’s decision to abolish the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

The gig is intended to raise awareness of the still prevalent issue of people trafficking.
