Supergrass to release Diamond Hoo Ha Men album

Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey to release side-project record

Supergrass pair Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey are set to release an album as their side-project band, Diamond Hoo Ha Men.

The pair have toured as Diamond Hoo Ha Men – under their alter egos Duke Diamond and Randy Hoo Ha – while their bandmate Mickey Quinn recovered from injury and also named the last Supergrass album 'Diamond Hoo Ha', which came out in March.

However, the new album will be the first time the side project has had its own full release.

Goffey revealed the new album plan to BBC 6music, but was cagey on the details.

"It's classified, honestly really it is," he said. "We just got back to Australia so we’ve been doing a little tour with Supergrass. We're doing a little Diamond Hoo Ha album," just me and Gaz, but I can't really say what it is."

Supergrass played live with Ed Harcourt at the London Diesel xXx gig on Saturday night (October 11), where the likes of Mark Ronson, Patrick Wolf and The View also performed.

Good Old Supergrass, one of Britains un-sung heroes of the last 15 years. They need more recognition for their Work. Good luck to them.
