Directed by Irrum, who has also made videos for Cloud Control and Lonely The Brave, the video features vivid imagery of exotic birds and a mysterious central figure.

The director explains the concept behind the video: “The band said that they felt like they were ready to shave their heads and go to war with this new record, and they wanted a video that represented that feeling. It felt like the perfect opportunity to reimagine a completely new world, rather than a representation of psychedelia we have seen before.”

The band recently announced details of four intimate gigs set to take place in March and into April. They will hit the road for gigs in Manchester, London and Glasgow as well as a homecoming show in Birmingham at the Ooblek venue on April 2. See below for full dates and venue details.

‘To My Brother’ is the first new material from the band since their 2013 debut album ‘Where The Heaven Are We’. Frontman Austin Williams recently described the band’s new music to NME as “psychedelic sex music”, comparing the record to both Kanye West and Fleetwood Mac.

Williams revealed the big ambitions he and his bandmates have for the album. “We wanted to radicalise chart music,” he said of the band’s mindset going into the studio. “So we’ve taken [Kanye West’s] ‘Yeezus’ and [Fleetwood Mac album] ‘Rumours’ and put them together with acid house.”

In addition to these headline gigs, Swim Deep are among the first acts confirmed for Live At Leeds 2015.
