Amy Winehouse funks up SXSW

Amy Winehouse played for a packed house tonight (March 16) at La Zona Rosa - one of the largest clubs at South by Southwest.

Backed by a horn section and two male singers, the British songstress played a soulful set made up of songs from her recent album 'Back To Black'.

"I wrote my whole album about being heart-broken, and I realised that every night I'm singing for the audience about sad, fucked-up things," she said.

"This song's about a break up - well, they all are," she added before playing 'Wake Up Alone'.

The singer, who was dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans, also took a jovial pop at Razorlight ahead of the four-piece's set

"I never thought I'd be opening up for Razorlight," she added with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

Winehouse closed her set with 'Rehab' - one of the few songs that was greeted with massive cheers by the audience.
