Gruff Rhys performed his third show at South By SouthWest last night (March 16) at the Bourbon Rocks in Austin - this time he had all his instruments, having recovered them from the airport the previous day.

Joined onstage again by Lisa Jen Brown of 9 Bach, Gruff opened the show with lead single ‘Candylion’ from the album of the same name.

Watched by members of The Young Knives, The Pipettes and Mumm-Ra, Rhys played a mix of tracks from ‘Candylion‘ and his debut solo release ‘Yr Atal Genhedlaeth’.

He played:

‘Candylion’
‘The Court of King Arthur’
‘Lonsome Words’
‘Gyrru Gyrru Gyrru’
‘Molianawn‘
‘Joy Round My Brain’ (a cover of a Richard and Mimi Farina song)
‘Gwn Mi Wn’
‘Cycle of Violence’
