Vampire Weekend, Yo La Tengo, The Virgins at SXSW
Day three in Texas kicks off
The likes of Vampire Weekend, Yo La Tengo and The Virgins are set to launch the third day of the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas today (March 14), playing afternoon gigs around the city.
Vampire Weekend will play at the Spin party at Stubb’s, while Yo La Tengo will perform at the Litigation Museum at 4pm (CMT). Hotly-tipped New York band The Virgins play at The Palm Door at 2.40pm.
At the Wave venue the second day of musical action at the NME showcase will crank up at 1:15pm with raucous rockers Fucked Up, followed by These New Puritans, Holy Ghost Revival, and The Duke Spirit.
The Cribs play La Zona Rosa at 1pm, while fellow Brits The Pigeon Detectives play the Ceder Street Courtyard at 2.15pm, followed by The Wombats.
