The third night of SXSW is about to kick off

The third night of musical action at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas is about to kick off, with the likes of Paramore, N.E.R.D and MGMT the hot tickets in town.

Paramore’s gig, at La Zona Rosa at 12:45am (CMT) will be of particular interest. The band cancelled a spate of gigs recently, citing “internal issues”, so it remains to be soon how together they will be tonight (March 14).

N.E.R.D head up a strong bill at Stubb’s, playing at 1am after The Cribs, MGMT, Santogold and The Ting Tings.

Elsewhere, Make Model, The Rascals and A Place To Bury Strangers are among the acts set to play at the NME bash at the Wave venue, where things kick off at 8pm.

Buzz band Vampire Weekend play at Antone’s at 11pm while rappers Clipse perform in Emo’s main room after play at 11pm.
