Duffy continued her US assault this afternoon (March 14) with an early evening show at SXSW.

The UKs official Number One artist in the Singles Chart closed proceedings at the Fader Fort venue.

Before opening with album title track Rockferry, the feted singer remarked that this was the first time she had visited the state of Texas.

Before moving on to Warwick Avenue, Duffy observed: "The album isn't out over here yet, but the majority of you are British, which is quite weird."

But, despite the familiarity, the Welsh songbird won over the crowd, which included former Clash man Mick Jones, who danced as the sun set.

Mystery surrounded Duffys exit as she closed her show with Number One single Mercy. "It's short but sweet," she said. "But we have to go back to Wales tonight."

In reality, Duffy plays Stubbs BBQ tomorrow (March 15).
