SYMPOSIUM: THE PARTY'S OVER

Symposium have split up following an alleged rift between band members, it's been announced.

The five-piece fraggle rock band has split in two directions with bassist Wotjek Godzsis and guitarist Hagop Tchaparian going their own way from the rest of the group - singer Ross Cummins, guitarist Will McGonagle and drummer Joe Birch. It's thought a stalemate over a new record label caused the split.

Symposium parted company with their record label Infectious last year claiming they didn't want to be associated with media magnate Rupert Murdoch who owned shares.

The band's last album was 'On The Outside', released in 1998.
