Mother of T In The Park crash victim pays tribute T In The Park Tickets
Teenager Lachlan Gillies was run over outside the festival
The mother of a 17-year-old boy who was killed near the T In The Park festival site on Friday (July 10) has paid tribute to him.
Lachlan Gillies, from Errol in Perthshire, was run over by a lorry on the A977 road next to an entrance to the Scottish festival, near Kinross.
"He was a great lad who lived a great life and I'm very sorry it was so short," his mother Judith said, reports BBC News.
After the accident on Friday (July 10), Gillies was taken to hospital in Dunfermline, where he was declared dead.
Scotland's Evening Telegraph reports that Gillies, who was head boy at Perth High School, was trying to buy a replacement ticket for the festival at the time of the accident, having previously misplaced his.
Police are appealing for witness who may have seen the accident, which happened at roughly 6:30pm (BST) 400 yards west of the entrance to the A977's Moto Services.
