Unreleased Marc Bolan material to be made available
BBC recordings collected for November release
Two previously unreelased Marc Bolan songs are to be made available on a new compilation.
The collection, out Novemver 5, brings together the BBC recordings of Bolan’s Tyranosaurus Rex and T-Rex.
Entitled 'Bolan At The Beeb', the collection will contain two previously unreleased tracks: 'My Baby’s Like A Cloudfall' and 'Funk Now Jam', as well as further sessions the star recorded for the station.
The first CD of the 3CD set contains tracks recorded in the late 1960s for the 'Top Gear' radio show, plus recordings from the Paris Theatre in London .
The second CD contains further Top Gear and Paris Theatre sessions, plus recordings from the Dave Lee Travis and Bob Harris shows.
The third CD contains tracks from the Radio One Club session from 1971, plus one-off recordings.
The release coincides with what would have been the year of Bolan’s 60th birthday. The glam rock star died on September 16, 1977 in a car accident.
