Pizzas upturned in acts of debauched rock 'n' roll behaviour

Anyone who knows anything about The Fratellis knows that they are the physical encapsulation of rock and roll.
So it was little surprise to read in the red-tops today that their dressing room at last Saturday’s (September 1) Jersey Live festival was a scene of total carnage.
As the band shun alcohol while on tour, apparently they made the most of their rider budget anyway by insisting on hot meals for the three of them, while bands like The Rakes and Kasabian made do with dips, crisps and pasta salads.
But much to the organisers’ horror, after wowing the crowd with hits like ‘Chelsea Dagger’ and, um… some more hits, the band promptly ploughed into their dressing room and started hurling around their meals like pizza-wielding discus champions.
They supposedly left a right old mess, and even smashed the crockery with which they had previously used to down copious amounts of Earl Grey and lattes.
We reckon they were riled at their debut album, ‘Costello Music’, failing to get nominated for tonight’s (September 4) Nationwide Mercury Music Prize award. Food for thought…
