Tabloid Hell: Big Brother twins start go to war with Pete Doherty

It's Babyshambles Vs Barbie Girls

Take cover - there’s a new chart battle around town, pop kids.

Following in the steps of Oasis versus Blur, Ginger versus Baby and er Posh versus Real Posh ( to you) - the 'Big Brother' twins are set to challenge Pete Doherty for chart supremacy.

The sister double act of Sam and Amanda Marchant have apparently signed a record deal for a cool £1 million as soon as they walked out of the 'Big Brother' house.

A music ‘insider’ said: “Put your money on the twins. They were top of the pops in the BB house with their singing and dancing and they have the support to storm the charts and bag the cash.”

Ahem.

And the song they’re choosing to pierce the beating beat of the Top 40? Why, it’s a cover of Aqua’s ’Barbie Girl’ of course.

You couldn’t make it up, etc.

The song will be released on September 17, on the same day as Babyshambles' comeback single ’Delivery'. 50 Cent also has a single out that day and if he's beaten by the reality TV stars then surely the rapper really will have to quit music.

Twin Number One Sam put it perfectly when she said: “I can’t quite believe that we are about to record our first ever single, it’s dead funny!”

Indeed.
