Tabloid Hell: Coldplay sleeping 'ferry' rough

Being in a band you have to bed down in all manner of sub-standard locations – Transit vans, Travelodges, mates’ sofas and the like.

You would have thought, though, that the likes of Coldplay’s Chris Martin would demand a decent slumber spot now he’s in one of the biggest bands in the world.

Not so, according to our favourite red tops today (October 9) – who have printed a pic of the curly-haired crooner taking 40 winks on the deck of a ferry on a recent trip from Scotland’s Arran Island to the mainland.

“He looked sweet, snoring on the floor,” said 'a passer by'.

No jokes about Coldplay being wet, please: he didn’t even catch one drop of ocean spray.
